British Airways has signed an agreement with the States of Guernsey to start flights from London Heathrow to Guernsey in April 2026.
The route marked the first narrowbody jet service to Guernsey following Blue Islands’ collapse.
Loganair expressed positivity towards serving the Guernsey-Jersey route long-term but declined to compete aggressively for market entry.
The States of Guernsey designated the route as essential from 15 January 2026 and granted traffic rights to one airline only. The agreement aimed to enhance the island’s connectivity options.
Loganair has shared in a written statement that it was very positive about the opportunity to serve the Guernsey-Jersey route on a long-term basis but would not fight to break into the market.
