Ballyhoura Development CLG has launched a new LEADER programme aimed at supporting local projects in North Cork, focusing on areas like rural tourism, enterprise development, and community services.
The programme promotes a community-led approach to local development, addressing themes such as climate change, rural infrastructure, and sustainable practices, all while fostering employment and social inclusion.
Funded through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) as part of Ireland’s CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027, the initiative seeks to empower grassroots development in rural communities.
Information sessions for local communities and businesses will be held throughout the autumn to assist in project proposals.
- Tuesday, September 17 from 2pm to 4pm in Mitchelstown Enterprise Centre.
- Thursday, September 19 from 7pm to 9pm in Shanballymore Community Centre.
- Monday, September 30 in The Old Schoolhouse, Dromina, Charleville (beside Dromina National School).
- Tuesday, October 1 from 10am to 12 noon at E Charleville which is located at the Charleville Business Park.
