Milan Bergamo Airport is implementing a series of infrastructure upgrades aimed at enhancing the passenger experience and operational efficiency, reinforcing its status as a major hub in Northern Italy.
The ongoing terminal expansion will nearly double the check-in capacity by increasing counters from 33 to 60, with completion expected in Q2 2025, and will introduce a new security area by Q4 2025 featuring advanced technology and family-friendly lanes.
Accessibility improvements include the opening of a new P1 East parking area and an additional vehicle entrance, alongside a direct train connection to major cities anticipated to be operational in late 2026.
The airport is investing in sustainability with a new solar plant for green power generation, plans for a future hotel in the P3 parking area, and new general aviation facilities to support capacity and operational flexibility.
