Boeing aims to stabilise its B737 MAX production rate by the second half of 2024 after facing challenges that have led to a slower output than the current cycle of 38 aircraft per month.
Quality audit processes and FAA requirements have caused Boeing to pause the production line, impacting the output of B737 MAX aircraft.
Despite plans to increase the output to 42 B737 MAX per month in February 2024, Boeing is currently reported to be below the published rate of 38 aircraft per month, struggling to meet even the previous rate of 31 aircraft per month in 2023.
