Kildare County Council plans a 50-day closure of the R412 road from March 4 to July 12 to facilitate the installation of new watermain pipework.
The closure will affect Wicklow commuters traveling to Dunlavin, Grangecon and surrounding areas.
Alternative routes for both southbound and northbound vehicles have been outlined, with diversions clearly signposted and emergency access maintained.
