RPS Consultants have delivered the final report on Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk to Wicklow County Council management committee on 22 September 2025.
The walk remains closed for nearly five years following a 2021 landslide and 2022 rockfall with boulders on the path. The report identifies multiple areas with rock fractures, loose stones, and unstable slopes posing ongoing safety risks.
Partial closures began in early 2021 after boulder clay collapse on Greystones side and rockfall near Bray. The assessment highlights the scale of repairs needed for the 7km trail, closed despite public pressure for reopening.
