Chiang Mai, Krabi & Hong Kong – One-stop options boosted for Irish fliers as Etihad announces ten routes in a day

Etihad Airways is launching ten new destinations in a single day, marking a historic expansion for the Abu Dhabi based airline.

The new routes include six important connections from Ireland: Chiang Mai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Krabi, Medan, Phnom Penh and Taipei. 

Ireland already has access to Hanoi, Hong Kong, Phnom Penh and Taipei via Dubai, Hanoi, Hong Kong and Taipei via Istanbul and Hanoi, Hong Kong and Phnom via Doha.

The initiative will bolster Etihad’s loyalty programme. The destinations are:

  • Algiers: The capital city of Algeria, featuring historic architecture and a picturesque Mediterranean coastline, highlighted by the famous Casbah.
  • Atlanta: A bustling metropolis in Georgia known for its Southern hospitality, thriving tech industry, and rich cultural heritage.
  • Chiang Mai: The cultural heart of Thailand, famous for its ancient temples, vibrant night markets, and scenic mountainous landscapes.
  • Hanoi: Vietnam’s capital, celebrated for its blend of historical architecture and rich cultural influences, particularly in the charming Old Quarter.
  • Hong Kong: A dynamic city where East meets West, noted for its stunning skyline, lively markets, and vibrant culinary scene.
  • Krabi: Renowned for its breathtaking limestone cliffs and crystal-clear waters, making it a paradise for outdoor activities in southern Thailand.
  • Medan: The vibrant gateway to Sumatra, Indonesia, known for its cultural diversity, colonial architecture, and famous local cuisine.
  • Phnom Penh: Cambodia’s capital that harmonizes historic landmarks with modern energy, including the Royal Palace and a lively riverside promenade.
  • Taipei: A bustling metropolis characterized by a modern skyline, lively night markets, and a rich blend of historic and contemporary culture.
  • Tunis: The capital of Tunisia, known for its lively medina and historical significance, particularly the ancient ruins of nearby Carthage.
