CityJet has opened applications for a new Chief Financial Officer role as the airline entered a renewed growth phase.
The position appeared on IrishJobs and formed a central part of financial and operational strengthening efforts. The search followed emergence from a challenging examinership process that began in May 2025 after loss of a key Lufthansa wet-leasing contract.
The court-supervised restructuring ended with a High Court-confirmed scheme of arrangement in October 2025. The airline aimed to stabilise its balance sheet and secure long-term viability through the process.
The incoming CFO will join the executive leadership team as a key partner to the CEO. Responsibilities covered full financial stewardship including accounting reporting treasury tax audit compliance cashflow management and liquidity planning.
According the airline the role requires a finance leader with experience at CFO or Finance Director level in complex asset-heavy environments and a deep expertise in cashflow management proved essential along with strong cross-functional relationship building.
