CLIA will host a River Cruise Day for Ireland on 3 April, featuring a series of webinars and a new online learning module for agents.
River cruise operators are encouraged to create tailored promotions for travel agents in conjunction with the event.
The announcement for River Cruise Day came during the RiverView conference in Budapest, attended by around 400 agents.
A River Cruise Forum is set for 23 October in Glasgow, with agent registration opening in the summer months.
