Access to the Cliffs of Moher will be affected by a closure of approximately 280 meters of the R477 road at Lisnanard, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare, starting from 08:00 on October 21, 2024, until 18:00 on March 14, 2025.
The closure will occur around 700 meters from the N67/R477 junction in Ballyvaughan village.
Safe pedestrian access will be maintained along the closed section, but HGVs, trucks, and buses will need to use alternative routes via Lisdoonvarna instead of traveling along the R477.
It is advised to notify tour guides and drivers accessing these routes about the upcoming road closure and the necessary diversions.
