US TV personality Conan O’Brien tweeted on X that he sang with The Irish Tenors in Whelan’s Pub on Wexford St on his visit to Dublin.

“We did Cowboys From Hell by Pantera,” he told his social media followers.

Mr O’Brien visited the village of Galbally in east Limerick, where his great-grandfather emigrated from in the late 1870s.

He met with a local man who showed him the O’Brien ancestral family home in the village.

In Cashel, Tipperary, Conan consulted with a genealogist who helped him trace his family tree.

He continued his tour in Loughrea, Co Galway, where he visited a butcher shop and interviewed a Galway woman at the famous pub Tig Chóilí. He also stopped at the Barack Obama Plaza in Offaly before returning to Dublin.
