Lufthansa expects no regulatory approvals for selling all business class seats on B787-9 until April 2026.

The airline is awaiting full FAA certification of new Allegris seats. Just four of 28 business class seats can be sold as they have received certification.

Lufthansa operates ten B787-9s with five featuring Allegris interiors. The other five originated as whitetails from Hainan Airlines.

Carsten Spohr shared “Lufthansa does not expect to receive regulatory approvals to start selling all business class seats on its newly delivered B787-9 until April 2026.”
