City of Derry Airport experienced a growth of 14.9pc in 2024, reaching 86.8pc of pre-pandemic passenger levels.

The story for 2025 is still uncertain as Ryanair has decided to cease the Birmingham route at the end of March after one year of operations, following the cancellation of summer flights to Faro.

On the plus side EasyJet launched services to Edinburgh and Liverpool in November and is now responsible for one third of all flight operations from the City of Derry and signals its intention to grow at the airport
