A total of 8.2m passengers passed through Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock, and Kerry airports in January to March 2025, down 20,000 from Q1 2024, largely due to the Dublin airport passenger cap.

Air freight at Irish airports increased by 1pc in Q1 2025 compared to Q1 2024. Flights to and from Irish airports decreased by 2pc from 59,309 to 57,970 in Q1 2025 compared to Q1 2024.

London-Heathrow, Amsterdam-Schiphol, and Manchester were the top routes from Dublin. London-Heathrow was the busiest for Cork and Shannon, London-Luton for Knock, and Dublin for Kerry.

In Q1 2025, 88pc of international flight passengers at the five airports travelled to or from Europe, with England, Spain, and the US as top origins/destinations.
