Dublin Airport’s north runway was forced to close due to a fuel leak from Delta Airlines flight DAL45/DL45 to JFK International Airport.
The leak left a trail of fuel on the runway, leading to operations on a single runway with one blocked and the other open.
Carefully tracked by Shauns Avation X account, the aircraft was escorted back to stand 203c by rescue and operations vehicles after one engine was shut down due to the leak.
A clean-up operation was swiftly conducted with minimal disruption to operations. The south runway remained open through the emergency.
