The Dublin Book Festival, established in 2006, is a prominent celebration of Irish literature, highlighting the work of both established and emerging writers across various genres in a festive, accessible environment.

Scheduled for November 6th – 10th, the festival features over 80 events throughout Dublin, including author discussions, book launches, literary walking tours, and family-friendly activities, with its main venue at Dublin Castle.

The festival emphasizes inclusivity and community, aiming to engage literature enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds while fostering a love for reading through professional development and creative workshops.

Supported by partners like the Arts Council and Publishing Ireland, the festival has welcomed notable authors such as Michael D. Higgins, Anne Enright, and Graham Norton, showcasing Ireland’s rich literary talent and contributions to the publishing industry.

NIVAL holds arguably the largest collection of unique and handmade artist books in the country with 1,300 catalogued on their website.
