Dublin Zoo partners with Age Action for Positive Ageing Week, 26 September to 3 October 2025, offering free entry to guests aged 65 and over.
The theme, Wisdom of the Herd: Connecting Generations, draws parallels between elephant matriarchs and older generations’ leadership.
Over 100 Dublin Zoo volunteers, many older, share knowledge on conservation and biodiversity.
The Elephant Family Matters Trail along the Kaziranga Forest Trail encourages reflection on intergenerational wisdom.
Age Action’s 800 volunteers support programmes like digital literacy and home repair services.
