The Dunbrody Experience visitor centre has a reopening date in 18 months after its €1.5m extension and €750,000 for a new interpretive exhibition experience.
The centre is undergoing a major upgrade to the visitor centre downstairs
The funding for the upgrades was sourced from a Rural Regeneration Fund application in 2018.
Overall, €9m was allocated to New Ross for various attractions including the Norman visitor centre, the High Hill, the Dunbrody ship, and the Dunbrody centre.
