A new hourly rail service between Dublin and Belfast has been launched, funded by a €25m investment from the Government’s Shared Island Fund and the Department of Transport, marking the largest expansion in over 25 years.
The schedule includes 15 services in each direction from Monday to Saturday, up from eight, with additional Sunday services increasing from six to eight each way.
New services include 05:50am and 7:00am departures from Dublin and Belfast respectively, and the last trains of the day are scheduled at 9:00pm on weekdays.
