Humberside-based Eastern Airways will move its Paris flights from Paris Orly to Charles de Gaulle airport’s Terminal 2 in April, citing secured landing and take-off slots as the reason for the switch.

The move is expected to enhance worldwide connectivity through Eastern Airways’ interline agreement with Air France-KLM Group, but will result in the cessation of the Cardiff-Orly service due to limited available slots.

Roger Hage, commercial director, Eastern Airways, said: “We are delighted to be extending this cooperation with Air France and opening wider connectivity to Europe’s second biggest city for both business and leisure travellers. The first year has seen strong demand and notable growth throughout, which given the significance of Paris and France hosting the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, the welcome move to Charles-De-Gaulle will help improve direct access year-round to France including Disneyland Paris.”
