Edward Walsh from New Jersey has been nominated as the new USA ambassador to Ireland.
He is the President of the Walsh Company, founded in 2003 and based in Morristown, New Jersey.
Before establishing his company, Walsh was a Senior Vice-President at Gale & Wentworth, specializing in real estate.
He is actively involved in philanthropy, supporting various nonprofit organizations in New Jersey. An accomplished golfer, he is a member of the Trump club. he backed Christie for President in 2016 but in 2020 was a member of the friends of Trump.
Ireland was the 15th most important inbound market to USA in Novembe and 18th so fare this year.
