Oklahoma based Acorn Growth Companies has made what it calls “a significant investment” in EirTrade Aviation, an aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul company based in Ireland.
EirTrade will serve as a “platform company” for Acorn, under the continued leadership of its CEO, Ken Fitzgibbon.
The investment by Acorn, a company which specialises in the aviation industry, aims to support EirTrade’s growth in the consignment business by providing increased financial capacity for purchasing aviation assets.

EirTrade has recently opened an engine disassembly facility in Dublin to streamline operations and enhance control across its supply chain.
The company expanded in North America by establishing a stock hub and warehouse in Dallas, with a team of employees in Atlanta as well.
The global aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) market is projected to reach $66.97bn by 2028, driven by factors such as technological advancements, the use of advanced materials, and the demand for fuel-efficient engines. North America currently holds the largest market share, followed by Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
