Emirates has placed a firm order with Boeing for five additional B777-200Fs, with deliveries expected by 2026, adding to the five B777-200Fs ordered in 2022 for delivery in 2024-2025.

This new order will increase Emirates’ dedicated freighter fleet to 17 aircraft, complementing its current operation of eleven B777-200Fs and three wet-leased B747s from Aerotranscargo.

Some of the newly delivered B777-200Fs will replace existing aircraft of the same type, with the aim of optimizing the cargo fleet in response to market demands.

Emirates is also considering an order for new-generation widebody freighters, such as A350Fs or B777-8Fs, by 2027, as part of its strategy to ensure it is equipped to meet evolving market needs and aims to bolster its airfreight operations through Emirates SkyCargo.
