Emirates has renewed its partnership with Tourism Ireland for an additional two years to boost inbound tourism from Australia and New Zealand.
The airline aims to facilitate a seamless connection via Dubai, offering 14 one-stop flights each week to Ireland for travellers from these markets.
Pre-pandemic, Ireland welcomed 252,000 visitors from Australia and New Zealand, who collectively spent €245m during their stay.
The renewed Memorandum of Understanding will involve joint activities to enhance Ireland’s appeal as a leisure destination and explore promotional campaigns.
Since launching the Dublin-Dubai route in January 2012, Emirates has transported over 3m passengers, supporting strong connections for Australian and New Zealand travellers to Ireland.
Inbound tourism from Australia and New Zealand peaked at 228,500 in 2028, according to CSO figures, and reached 133,700 last year, slightly up on 2023.
