Emirates airline expects to have transported 450,000 passengers on its Dublin-Dubai service in 2024, reflecting consistent demand from Irish travelers for international destinations.

There has been a significant increase in leisure travelers opting for premium cabin bookings, in contrast to prior trends dominated by corporate travelers.

The cargo division, Emirates SkyCargo, reported a surge in freight volumes, especially with pharmaceuticals and perishables, driven by demand in Asian markets.

Overall, Emirates achieved a record AED10.4 billion pre-tax profit in the first half of 2024, alongside a 3pc increase in global passenger numbers.

Emirates Boeing 777, flying twice daily, can carry 25 tonnes of cargo along with 360 passengers. Emirates SkyCargo transported 4,500 tonnes between July and September.
