England’s aviation sector achieved a record-breaking year in 2025 with passenger numbers surpassing 302m for the first time according to official figures.
This represented a 2pc increase from the previous year’s 295m passengers and marked the busiest twelve months for commercial aviation in the country. The milestone reflects strong recovery and growth in demand across major airports and airlines with outbound leisure travel and inbound tourism contributing significantly to the surge.
