ERA General Assembly gathers 170 enterprises in Seville

The annual ERA General Assembly in Seville from October 8-10, 2024, gathered 170 companies, including airline executives, industry suppliers, and policymakers to discuss key challenges and advancements in regional aviation.

Conference sessions highlighted pressing issues such as supply chain disruptions, rising operational costs, recruitment challenges, and the need for financial sustainability alongside decarbonization efforts, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining essential connectivity.

Discussions focused on the progress and challenges of decarbonisation, with 80pc of attendees agreeing on the critical role of regional aviation in achieving net zero emissions by 2050, as well as the need for airport infrastructure to support sustainable aviation solutions.

Industry leaders expressed optimism about the future of regional aviation, stressing the importance of collaboration, sustainable practices, and the commitment to addressing climate change through innovation and responsible growth within the sector.
