Ethiopian Airlines took delivery of its 37th Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, a 737 MAX 8 registered ET-BAM MSN 64141, on 22 August 2025.
The aircraft departed Boeing’s Everett facility in Washington State and arrived at Dublin Airport at 09:41 local time under callsign ETH9201. On 23 August, ET-BAM departed Dublin at 07:55 for a direct ferry to Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, landing at 17:57 local time.
ET-BAM entered revenue service on 24 August, operating flight ETH939/8 to and from N’Djamena, Chad.
The addition brings Ethiopian’s 737 MAX fleet to 37, part of a strategy to modernise operations, with a total fleet of 144 aircraft including Airbus A350-900 and -1000, Boeing 777s, 787 Dreamliners, 737-800s and De Havilland models.
