The European Regions Airline Association has confirmed the re-election of Vasiliki Christidi, Group General Manager of SKY express, as its airline representative, alongside new airline and non-airline representatives to steer the association’s work for Europe’s regional aviation sector.
Newly elected representatives include Mario Lobato De Faria, Managing Director of TAP express operated by Portugália Airlines; Nadia Giordimaina, Director Regulatory & International Affairs of KM Malta; Anastasija Visnakova, VP Sales & Marketing of Deutsche Aircraft; Mark Dunnachie, SVP Commercial of ACIA Aero Leasing; and Victoire Totah, Director Commercial Marketing of Aeroport de Nimes/Aeroport de Tours.
These appointments aim to guide ERA’s strategic priorities and ensure the collective voice of regional aviation reaches European policymakers and stakeholders.
ERA represents 58 regional airlines and 231 companies involved in European aviation, promoting safe, efficient, and sustainable air transport that connects Europe’s regions and communities.
The board will focus on addressing unique challenges faced by the regional aviation sector to secure a strong, sustainable, and competitive future.
Mario Lobato De Faria shared “ERA has been in the past decades fundamental in setting a fairer and meaningful landscape for regional airlines. It’s with pride and humility that I join the Board and expect to contribute to the sustainability of regional airlines and their mission in connecting communities and developing their economies while ensuring profits.”
Nadia Giordimaina shared “I would like to thank all those who showed their support by voting. My priority will be to advocate so that legislation respects the complexity and constraints that the airline industry operates in, in view of the paramount importance of safety and security for the industry. Regulation should not come at the expense of the financial sustainability of an industry which provides connectivity and hence ensures freedom of movement of citizens, economic prosperity and growth to the regions it serves.”
Vasiliki Christidi shared “I am honoured to continue serving on the ERA Board and look forward to contributing to the sustainable growth of regional aviation in Europe. Together with my colleagues, I will work to strengthen connectivity, advance innovation, and support our industry’s transition towards a more resilient future for the people of Europe.”
