Limerick Greenway destination Charleville is seeking a ring road to relieve traffic through the town.

County council official Dennis O’Regan updated the Kanturk/Mallow Municipal District on the ring road progress, with intentions to assess the feasibility of a Charleville Relief Road in 2024, pending funding from the TII grant allocation.

Charleville’s Main Street, part of the N20 route between Cork and Limerick, handles 14,000 vehicles a day and has seen several fatalities.
