The final phase of the Midleton Youghal Greenway, an off-road walking and cycling route in East Cork, will officially open to the public on tomorrow December 19, extending access from Mogeely to Youghal.
The Greenway includes trailheads at multiple locations and preserves local biodiversity through significant native planting initiatives along the route.
Cork County Council emphasizes that the Greenway will enhance tourism, stimulate local economic growth, and integrate with existing cycle infrastructure in the region.
Community engagement has been a priority during the development, ensuring input from local farmers and property owners was considered throughout the project.
