Finnair (formerly known as Aero O/Y) celebrated its 100th anniversary of its first commercial flight on March 20, 1924 from Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia.

The flight carried 162kg of mail and improved connectivity within Northern Europe using a Junkers F 13 D-335 Regenpfeifer aircraft which had skis for winter landings and floats for summer landings.
The Helsinki to Tallinn route remains important for Finnair’s network, with up to 10 daily flights operating between the two capitals.
Finnair will relaunch direct flights between Helsinki and Tartu, Estonia’s second city and European Capital of Culture 2024, starting March 31, 2024, offering 12 flights per week on ATR aircraft with connections from Dublin.
