Finnair has launched a new complimentary inflight messaging service to connect with its customers.
Finnair Plus frequent flyers can now enjoy free messaging on all European flights operated by Finnair’s narrow-body Airbus fleet.
Passengers will be able to send and receive text messages using popular applications like WhatsApp, Viber, Kakao Talk, WeChat, and iMessage.
The complimentary messaging service will be available throughout the entire flight, making it easier for passengers to communicate with loved ones on the ground.
Additionally, starting in January 2024, Finnair Plus Gold and Platinum members will have an upgraded 30-minute streaming package instead of the current browsing package. Platinum Lumo members will continue to receive free onboard streaming for their short-haul flights.
This new offering complements Finnair’s existing Wi-Fi packages, which allow customers to browse or stream, including sending and receiving pictures and videos, for a minimal cost.
