Finnair has revealed a revamped short-haul cabin on its Embraer 190 aircraft to be sued on the Dublin to Helsinki route, featuring new seats, lighter materials, and LED lighting, aimed at enhancing passenger comfort on regional routes.
The refurbished aircraft will operate on flights from Edinburgh, Manchester, and Dublin to Helsinki, with seven of the 12 aircraft expected to be completed by winter 2023 and the rest by spring 2026.
The new design incorporates dark blue and grey colors, reflecting modern aesthetics found in Finnair’s long-haul cabins, along with improved business class features, including recline functionality and increased cushioning.
Finnair’s initiative is part of a larger €200m investment in its products and services, which the airline says reinforces its commitment to customer comfort and sustainable travel in the airline’s future strategy.
