Lufthansa services face significant disruption due to a 35-hour warning strike called by the Verdi trade union for ground staff at Lufthansa AG, Lufthansa Technik, and Lufthansa Cargo.

The strike will commence at 2000 CET on Monday 19 February and last until 0710 on Wednesday 21 February.

Lufthansa anticipates operating only “around 10 to 20 per cent” of its flight schedule on Tuesday 20 February.

Affected passengers will receive notifications of flight cancellations via email or the Lufthansa app, with the recommendation to avoid coming to the airport unless their flight remains unaffected, as rebooking services will not be available during the strike period.
