Fred Dixon has been appointed as the new President & CEO of Brand USA, succeeding Chris Thompson who announced his retirement in July 2023 after holding the role from 2012 to 2024.
Dixon, with extensive experience in the travel industry as the current President and CEO of NYC Tourism + Conventions, is set to lead Brand USA and enhance its position as a global leader in destination marketing, bringing new perspectives to drive growth.
Dixon will oversee all operations of Brand USA as the company gears up for its future growth phase in a strong tourism environment within the U.S., commencing his role on July 15, 2024.
The transition process will involve Thompson working with Dixon and the Board of Directors through September 30, 2024, to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities, with Thompson expressing confidence in Dixon’s leadership abilities.
