Frontier Airlines is overhauling its pricing scheme, eliminating change fees for most fare classes, and simplifying its fare categories to basic, economy, premium, and business.
The airline is implementing several customer service improvements, including extending the validity of flight credits and reintroducing 24-hour customer service for elite status members.
Frontier is updating its digital platforms to enhance customer experience and is shifting capacity away from overserved leisure markets like Florida and Las Vegas.
These changes come amid a new DOT rule requiring airlines to disclose all fees; however, Frontier claims their changes were independently motivated to improve pricing transparency and competitiveness.
