The Garden Terrace at Dublin Airport Terminal 1 has officially reopened for passengers after closing last November.
Popular withs makes, daa confirmed that the smoking area s – still open while we also put the finishing touches to its upgrade.
DAA CEO Kenny Jacobs told the Travel Talks at Holiday World 2025 in January that Dublin airport will be opening 15 more food and beverage outlets, having opened 12 new food and beverage outlets last year.
He told attendees at the show: We are looking for more Irish character. We’re heading towards being an airport for 40 million, then 50 and 60 million. We need a lot more lunge capacity.
We are going to treble lounge capacity between this year and next year. More lounges in T2 and I would even love to see a Ryanair lounge in T1. The original terminal building we are planning to convert at least half of that into high-end lounges.
So we will have better lounges, better retail, healthier and more interesting food, everything from to a proper Italian ice cream, and much more variety. We are opening a new outlet inT2 called the Irish market which will be modelled on the English market in Cork.
We want to celebrate Irish food. Dublin airport is the biggest seller of Tayto in the world, the biggest whiskey shop in the world. We want to have an airport that was fun and friendly and it has that unique Irish character.
