London Gatwick Airport has raised the minimum drop-off fee to £7 for stays of up to ten minutes.
The increase follows a £1 rise in January 2024 and continues Gatwick’s policy of charging drivers for drop-off zone use introduced in March 2021.
After the initial ten minutes, drivers incur a charge of £1 for each additional minute, capping at £27 for a maximum stay of 30 minutes.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras capture vehicle details, with payment required by midnight the day after utilisation.
Airports such as Heathrow and Edinburgh, have also raised their minimum drop-off fees, while Stansted, Birmingham and Manchester have introduced ANPR technology to manage drop-off charges.
