The Gorey Market House Festival, usually held from August 4 to August 11, has changed dates to July 20 and 21 to accommodate the Fleadh Cheoil hosted by County Wexford.
Local government representatives have expressed frustration at a District meeting, stating that he had read about the festival date change in the paper before it was confirmed at the meeting.
They said that the new date should be approved by Wexford County Council, who ultimately pay for it, before being publicly announced in a structured manner.
