Greece’s 14 regional airports managed by Fraport Greece have handled a record 7.13m passengers in August 2026, breaking the seven-million monthly mark for the first time. This total represents a 5.1pc increase compared to the same month last year. International travel drove most of the surge, accounting for 6.2m international passengers.
Corfu Airport surpassed onem passengers in a single month for the first time. Athens International Airport also set an all-time high by welcoming more than fourm passengers in August. The average network load factor dipped slightly to 86.9pc because airlines added more seat capacity.
