A group of 20 Destinations Services suppliers were showcased a technology management tool in partnership with GTA.

GTA developed a platform in partnership with technology provider Bokun that facilitates collaboration between suppliers to create combo tours and packages.

Examples included walking tours and whale watching, enabling customers to book start times and components. The booking will only go though if there is availability on all the involved suppliers.

GTA says the new will provide additional online exposure and revenue opportunities for tourism providers. The involvement of the online tour operator and hotel bed bank will help Bokun reach a critical mass in the markets that it enters, the Bokun CEO Hjalti Baldursson said. The workshops and presentation in Dublin is the first stop in a series that will take the GTA and Bokun promotion to Singapore and San Francisco.
