A dispute over the transfer of Ireland’s air search and rescue service to a new operator has escalated into a High Court action.

CHC Ireland, the current operator of the Coast Guard helicopter service, is suing Bristow, the company that was awarded the 10-year, €800m contract by the Government.

The lawsuit escalates the ongoing conflict between the two companies regarding the handover of the SAR service.
