The highly anticipated season two of Wednesday premiered on Netflix on 6 August, showcasing Ireland’s landscape.

Filming took place at locations across Wicklow, Dublin, and Offaly;

  • Ashford Studios
  • Powerscourt Demesne
  • Trinity College
  • Newcastle, County Wicklow
  • Charleville Castle
  • Deansgrange Cemetery

Tourism Ireland collaborated with Netflix to create two behind-the-scenes films featuring the cast sharing their favourite moments in Ireland.

The series has garnered global popularity, reaching the top 10 on Netflix in 93 countries and ranking as the third most-watched series on the platform.

Executive Producer Miles Millar and cast members praised Ireland’s scenery and warmth of the people during the filming experience.

Elmagh Killeen shared, “Wednesday has been a hit with viewers around the world, reaching the top 10 on Netflix in 93 countries.”

Miles Millar shared, “Coming back to Ireland to shoot season two felt like a homecoming – we have beautiful castles, we have the lush greens.”
