New attractions in Ireland 2023

  • Beyond the Trees Avondale: Offers the longest treetop walk in Ireland and a 38-meter tower with a spiral slide. Guests can also take guided tours of Avondale House, with special winter illuminations on the tree walk.
  • Book of Kells: New immersive interpretation of one of Dublin and Ireland’s must-see treasures. 
  • Brú na Bóinne: Refurb of 1990s visitor centre reopened immediately after the pandemic reflecting new research into Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth, with recreation fo the famous passage grave.
  • Céide Fields, Co Mayo: A Stone Age site with a newly revamped visitor centre featuring a state-of-the-art audio-visual exhibition that tells the archaeological story of the fields and surrounding area.
  • Cork on a Fork: A five-day food festival that brings together top restaurants, food experiences, street events, tastings, food tours, and farmers’ markets in Cork. Showcasing the vibrant Cork food scene.
  • International Rugby Experience, Limerick: A multi-million euro initiative that offers an immersive and interactive experience for rugby fans and non-fans alike, located in a custom-designed building in Limerick City.
  • Matsukawa, Dublin: Dublin’s first omakase sushi restaurant known for its exquisite precision in sushi preparation. Reservations are highly sought after, and last-minute cancellations are often announced on Instagram.
  • Mayo Velo Rail: A railway-themed activity in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, where visitors ride on velobikes fixed to old train lines, providing a unique experience and bringing tourism to lesser-known parts of Mayo.
  • Mount Congreve, Co Waterford: Reopened gardens with a visitor centre, new trails, playground, and a restaurant. Restoration work on the gardens is ongoing, and new accommodations like gate lodges and forest cabins are being added.
  • National Surf Centre, Co Sligo: A €3 million surf centre offering facilities like hot showers and board rentals for surfers in Strandhill. Also used for surf class demonstrations and lessons.
  • Noinín, Kilkenny: A new restaurant run by two sisters, offering a small menu of creative and hearty dishes that have elevated the Kilkenny restaurant scene. Praised for its friendly service and exceptional value.
  • Regency, Belfast: An innovative accommodation concept that started with two Georgian townhouses converted into serviced apartments. More townhouses, F&B offerings, and wellness facilities are being added based on guest feedback.
