Nine inbound flights were diverted to other airports as winds at Dublin Airport caused disruptions to flight operations. Eight of the nine inbound flights were diverted to Shannon.
The crosswind runway, Runway 16 was brought into operational for landings and take-offs. Among the diversions were flights EI563 and FR3976 from Barcelona, EI433 from Linate, EI661 from Vienna and KL1139 from Amsterdam.
Graeme McQueen shared, “Challenging wind conditions are impacting on flight operations at Dublin Airport this afternoon. While winds are due to ease as the day goes on, further knock-on delays are possible.”
