The Hill of Allen in Kildare, Ireland, was illuminated to celebrate St. Brigid and commemorate the 1500th year of her passing.
Newbridge born singer-songwriter Luka Bloom performed a song at the foot of the tower, conveying the story of St. Brigid and spreading a message of hope and light.
The lighting up ceremony aimed to bring hope and unity during challenging times, and a global Pause for Peace movement was launched in collaboration with the Solas Bhríde Centre & Hermitages.
