Hungarian court fines Ryanair €500k for alleged consumer law violation

Ryanair must pay a HUF200 million forint (€521k) fine due to an alleged violation of consumer protection laws.

The Curia of Hungary, the country’s supreme court, has upheld a decision made by the Budapest municipal government office.

The low-cost carrier was found to have failed in providing necessary information and informing customers in an official consumer protection procedure launched by the Budapest municipal government office in April 2020.
