Iberia has expanded its long-haul service with an A321XLR year-round route from Madrid to Washington DC.
The flight frequency will increase from four to six times weekly from April to August, reaching daily services in September and October.
Initial daily departures occur from Madrid at 1150, arriving in Washington DC at 1500.
The A321XLR aircraft features 14 fully flat business class seats and 168 economy seats, showcasing Iberia’s investment in modern travel.
Iberia aims to boost its total weekly flights between Spain and the US to 140 this summer, a rise of 14pc compared to last year.
