
The inaugural Rising Pastry Chef of the Year Competition has taken place at Crumlin College, Dublin.
Six finalists competed, using Sissy Red Irish apples and fresh Irish blackberries in their creations.
The theme was “Classics Reimagined Using Irish Ingredients,” focusing on seasonality and provenance.
The competition included a mystery skills test, a plated dessert, and a petit four or baked good. The winner will be revealed at the Euro-Toques Gala Dinner on 12 October 2025.
